Bowman TPA+ for Class III
TD10
Bowman TPA+ for Class III provides maxillary en masse protraction. A mini screw is placed in the palatal aveolus between the 1st permanent molar and the 2nd premolar. It provides anteriorly directed forces applied close to the center of resistance and in doing so, reduces the “tipping” that generally happens when protraction forces are applied along an arch wire.
Bowman TPA+ for Class III
with Molar Intrusion
TD15
The Bowman TPA+ for Class III with Molar Intrusion provides maxillary en masse protraction in the same manner as the TPA+ for Class III and adds a vertical force component to provide molar intrusion to allow control of the vertical dimension during protraction in cases where an open bite tendency is present.
Bowman TPA- for Class II
TD20
The Bowman TPA- for Class II provides maxillary en mass retraction. A mini screw is placed in the palatal aveolus between the 1st permanent molar and the 2nd premolar. It provides posteriorally directed forces applied close to the center of resistance and in doing so, reduces the “tipping” that
Bowman TPA- for Class II with Molar Intrusion
TD25
The Bowman TPA- for Class II with Molar intrusion provides maxillary en masse retraction in the same manner as the Bowman TPA- for Class II and adds a vertical force component to provide molar intrusion to allow control of the vertical dimension during retraction.
Horse Shoe Jet
(Bowman Modification)
The Horseshoe Jet is a unique distalization appliance that relies completely upon palatally placed mini-screws for anchorage. True skeletal anchorage eliminates reliance upon questionable deciduous roots and the palatal vault support as is the case with most distalizers. This design still benefits from forces that are applied, through a couple, closer to the center of resistance of the molars; a hallmark of the Distal Jet. As a result, there is dramatically less adverse molar tipping compared to other distalizers. Self limiting features of the Horseshoe Jet allow it to convert to a holding arch after distalization is complete.
